Volunteer Opportunities
This
Fall Catoctin Creek & Fountain Rock Nature Centers will be offering our
first Maryland Master Naturalist Volunteer Training Program. This training will be held on Mondays staring Sept.
10th through Dec. 10th. The classes will be led by
naturalists and educators experienced in Maryland Flora and fauna
identification. A vast array of nature topics will be presented including:
Ornithology, Botany, Reptiles and Amphibians, Insects, Freshwater Ecosystems,
Interpretation and more!

We are currently accepting applications for our Fall
Maryland Master Naturalist Volunteer Training Program. For more information on

crickets, owls, as well as several other night calling animals. Activities will
include: live animal presentations, and stories around the campfire.

Join Spelunker, John Powers, and learn about the many rocks and
minerals in the collections at Catoctin Creek Park. New fossils have recently
been donated and John is anxious to share them with you. This is
definitely a hands-on program! We would like to thank John Powers and our Frederick County Nature Council for making this program possible.
