Special Thanks to the Greenwall Garden Club

Above Photo (left to right):Dawne Howard (Master Naturalist Volunteer), Mikki Stratmeyer (Greenwall Garden Club), Susan Matthews (Park Naturalist)
We would like to thank The Greenwall Garden Club for donating plants to create a beautiful new flower garden next to the entrance of Catoctin Creek Nature Center. This garden includes several beneficial wildlife plants: winterberry holly, meadow sage, and coreopsis. The staff from Stadler Nurseries did a wonderful job installing these new plants. Within a few minutes of planting this garden Dawne & I noticed a beautiful butterfly next to the garden. Kathy Barylski latter identified this butterfly as a Tawny Emperor Butterfly. We greatly appreciate The Greenwall Garden Club's continued support of Catoctin Creek Park.
